Loosid is a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive digital platform for the sober community that celebrates the sober lifestyle. Through Loosid, it’s easy to find other people who share your perspective, who know that being sober doesn’t mean life has to be boring.

Our philosophy is live sober, love sober. In order to live sober, you have to love and embrace the sober life. Let’s embrace the sober life together.

Loosid welcomes anyone interested in living a sober life while, at the same time, providing support for those members of the community in recovery or struggling with addiction.   Loosid strives to create real social impact. To achieve that goal, Loosid provides an entire free suite of recovery tools for the members of the community who are fighting to maintain their sobriety.

Co-Founder & CEO

MJ Gottlieb is a serial entrepreneur having owned and operated four brands, a sales agency, a strategic consulting firm and a digital agency over the last 29 years. MJ has been featured in Forbes, Fortune, Inc, NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Crain’s, Reuters, Fast Company, Mashable, ABC, NBC, CBS, and countless other publications. He also wrote a book entitled, How To Ruin A Business Without Really Trying, with the foreword to the book written by Shark Tank’s Daymond John. Show more

MJ is a leading recovery advocate and has been sober since March 21, 2012. He is a spectator active CEO, having appeared in over 100 publications as well as the host of Loosid’s wildly popular Recovery Voices, a series of audio episodes featuring other leading voices in the addiction space. Zhanna Basina
Co-Founder & Senior Advisor

Immigrating from the former Soviet Union, Zhanna found in America, her country of choice, the freedom, opportunity, and prosperity long denied her in her country of origin.

Gravitating naturally to the caring profession, she obtained her nursing degree founded a number of healthcare and social service companies. As founder and CEO of Just Home Healthcare Services, she grew a company premised on helping others into a 2,000+ employee healthcare conglomerate, subsequently partnering with Private Equity. AS acting CEO, she hit all performance benchmarks, with an exit of 8X EBITDA growing revenues to $60M and is in the process of her second exit. Show more

None of this, of course, kept her isolated from experiencing the ravages of addiction. She watched as both of her children fell to a cycle of addiction, attempts at sobriety and, eventually, relapse. The cycle repeated itself many times, though both of her children eventually found relief from their addictions.

She brings her experience both as someone deeply affected by addiction and as a growth-focused and P.E.- backed CEO to her role as investor and advisor to Loosid App- a project designed to help those struggling to live sober lives find meaning and community while simultaneously targeting aggressive growth and revenue benchmarks. COO

Nina has been a leader in the the operational space for 15+ years, and a fierce recovery advocate to create impact and change in success outcomes for those struggling with addiction. In addition to her operational expertise, Nina has been integral in building Loosid’s newest technology, SAM- Sobriety & Addiction MentorTM, a groundbreaking tool for Loosid members to navigate their sobriety once they leave treatment as well as for those who need a daily path to get sober and stay sober. Nina sponsors countless women in recovery, while juggling the responsibilities of being a new mommy and wife, gifts given to her solely due to her commitment to get sober and helping others struggling with addiction.

Gary O’Neil
Creative Director

Gary is a leader who believes that great companies are built by great teams. From his 31 years of experience leading teams, he understands that ideas are great but execution is king. Whether his experience managing a $500mill brand or a startup, being customer-centric is the biggest key to success. Ultimately, working in several executive and entrepreneurial capacities, he believes brands need to have an amazing story that connects vividly to the problems of the target audience.
